CARER NETWORK
Coping with the isolation and loneliness while caring
In Australia there are 2.65 million informal carers, many of whom experience social isolation and profound loneliness.
Carers feel anxiety, depression and fear of the future. Carers may lack companionship and social connection.
We want to create safe spaces in our communities where carers come to share their uncertainty, anger and frustration.
We can bring them together to access layers of support -both professional and emotional - and fellowship.

Ways we can help carers
Create carer groups in our local communities and provide them with support and resources
Provide a safe place to share emotions
Our ‘respite for carers’ provides a safe space and connections, thus reducing social isolation.
